ROANOKE, Va. – UPDATE:
Rayjuan Calloway, the man accused of shooting and killing his father in Roanoke, has been arrested following a major search involving multiple law enforcement agencies, according to Prince Edward County officials.
Virginia State Police said that Rayjuan was taken into custody around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday in the area of Route 460 and Sulpher Spring Road in Prince Edward County
Authorities have lifted the shelter-in-place notice. We will update you with more information as it becomes available.

Roanoke Police announced late Saturday that they are searching for 24-year-old Rayjuan Antonio Calloway, who is accused of shooting and killing his father. The father has been identified as 57-year-old Israel Calloway.
Prince Edward County officials said Rayjuan was spotted by a Farmville Police Officer on Prince Edward Highway around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. Officials said the suspect fired a shot at the officer and fled on foot. The officer who was shot at was uninjured, according to Farmville Police Department.
Authorities say there is a large search being conducted in the area by both state and local officials. Residents who are in a 5-mile radius of Prince Edward Highway and Hixburg Road have been asked to shelter in place, lock their doors, and report suspicious activity to 911.

A man is dead following a shooting that occurred in Roanoke on Saturday, Roanoke Police Department said.
RPD said they responded to a home on the 900 block of 7th Street Northwest following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a man with apparent gunshot wounds in the home. He was pronounced dead.
