Man arrested, charged with second-degree murder after deadly weekend shooting in Roanoke

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Roanoke.

Authorities report that on Sunday, 43-year-old Antonio Demetrus Dudley, of Roanoke, was located and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Task Force in Roanoke. He is charged with second-degree murder.

Roanoke Police have identified the victim as 31-year-old Deven Price Singleton, of Roanoke.


ORIGINAL STORY

A man is dead after a shooting at the 2900 block of Glengary Avenue Northwest in Roanoke.

Police say they responded to a call about a shooting around 11 pm May 24.

When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wound injuries, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said no arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
